I am very excited to have Aaron Abke as my guest blogger today!! I asked him to share a little something about living from the heart and loving yourself! I hope you enjoy. xo
Does falling in love require any “effort”? Is it even a “choice”? Or does it feel like you’ve met someone so unbelievably wonderful that there is no choice left? In fact, there is no one even “Choosing” to fall in love. There is only the experience itself. Love is the choice less choice.
In the same way, there really is nothing to do on the awakening journey. You are simply falling helplessly in love with yourself. It’s only a game of desire, not one of effort. If there is a strong desire present, the awakening will unfold on its own. What do I mean by “unfold on its own?” Let me put it this way.
Living from the heart is an entirely different game than living from the mind. It’s the game of “being” not “doing”. The mind takes a tremendous amount of work to do anything. Judging, labeling, analyzing and interpreting every experience. This is because the mind is only capable of existing in points of view. When you transcend points of view, you transcend the mind, and you can begin to truly expand. Because concepts don’t teach, life teaches, and the only way to truly learn from life is to fall in love with it.
So when you move into heart-living, your eyes are opened to the fact that life is an intimately connected, unknowable mystery To form any conclusion about it is like scooping up a handful of water and claiming you hold the ocean. When your heart opens, you fall more in love with the mystery and less in love with conclusions. This is when effortlessness takes over. Something inside of you is not working, it is just shining. Outwardly you are in the world with everyone else, but inwardly you are sitting in a warm bath, drinking red wine and watching your life on a TV screen. Everyone else is still trying to “figure this life thing out”, like trying to drink the ocean through a straw. You however, are relaxing nearby in a hammock, because your heart has taken back the throne.
It is such a balance, because you do have to live through your brain sometimes. I sure prefer to live through my heart, it is so much more fun! This is such a great post though.

Thanks for sharing this post. Well, the heart is good though but we need to work with common sense too because the heart might just be swayed by the superficials. It’s a very great post!
