Thoughts with Mikaela- a series

Part 2

Beauty is the way you hold yourself, how you treat others, how you love, the way you love others and yourself. It is self acceptance. It is grace. Beauty is in your soul. Our soul often enough knows what to do, how to heal itself, to search for the good, to be resilient… etc. Our souls are beautiful lights, it is our minds that are the challenge. All the ideas, all the thoughts, the little stressors, the big stressors…. Our minds swirl and never seem to want to still. When they are wild it can be difficult to see what is going on around us.. like water the turbulence of our thoughts can overwhelm us, rocking us around, leaving us feel lost and searching in vain for a calm harbor. If our minds are like water however, there is a serene and powerful calmness as well. Everything becomes clear and possible when there is stillness, we are not rocked by fear, but instead we can finally hear our soul’s intuition. We must train out minds, and we can train our minds. Some think or say it can’t be done, and although it will most likely be a work in progress your whole life, it can be done. Train your mind to find positivity in things, train your mind to be calm, train your mind to find the good in everything. Our mind can be a dangerous place…. IF we let it control us.

There are many nights that I have slept restlessly, tossing and turning because my mind wouldn’t shut off. It wouldn’t calm down and I instead of trying to fight it with different tools I had would play into those doubts… Your mind can destroy you… You need to convince your mind instead then to listen, and to let go. Learn to quiet those thoughts and listen to your soul. Listen to your heart. Listen and grow each day, use every opportunity as a learning experience, not a reason for your brain to freak out and overthink about all that could go wrong. Often when we overthink we can make the situation worse than it actually is… so take a deep breath, let it out slowly, and have faith in the bigger picture. Positive-Mind

Having faith and letting go can be so scary though… stepping into the unknown where we might not feel like we have as much control can freak us out so much, but we are allowed to have fear. We can ask questions and be curious. This is our time to seek out questions and learn amazing things about ourselves that we might have never found out if we hadn’t take that step. Many people won’t even take that first step… isn’t that crazy? Think about all the new possibilities, all the new lessons learned, the new power you find in yourself because you are so powerful, so incredibly powerful. What is your intuition telling you? Versus the negative thoughts that are trying to take over and control your mind. Learn to look at situations differently… Learn to ask questions differently…. Learn to not take things as personally and not be affected by everything sent your way…. Take a step back and see how you can put a positive light on things, where is that silver lining…. There is always a silver lining, sometimes it is harder to find, and sometimes it takes a bit to find, sometimes you don’t see the silver lining until much later, but even if you approach things with the mindset of that silver lining you will notice a difference in your mentality.  1464297_1

I wanted to share some questions and how different questions from your ego can be as compared to questions from your intuition and searching out the good in the situation.

Question from your ego: What if I fail?

Question from your intuition: What if I succeed?

Question from your ego: Why is this happening to me?

Question from your intuition: What is the best that can happen?

Question from your ego: Why does this work for everyone else except me?

Question from your intuition: Why am I feeling this way about this situation?

Question from your ego: Why is everyone else so much further along than me?

Question from your intuition: What does this goal need from me?

Do you see the difference in these questions? Do you hear how the second question has some constructive critiques in it, but also positivity. I find asking questions in that type of light actually can help calm your brain down way more that the other type of questioning. You are not letting your ego or mind control you, you are in control and want to learn from the situation, and are open to seeing what the journey could bring! You are not overthinking, you are not stressing yourself out, you are not losing sleep… You are taking a deep breath and taking control of the situation. Easy to say, but much harder to follow through with actions, but practice makes perfect. Keep working on it and it will become second nature to you! Remember it all begins and ends in the mind… What you give power to has power over you. So why not have it the other way. You have power over your mind instead… There are some situations we will not be able to control.. that is life, life is messy, life is unexpected sometimes, life is full of surprises! It is how we respond though… we can control that! So control how you respond to the situations given you. That is powerful. That is where the real power inside of you is. How will you respond? Control how you respond and let the worries go… Don’t lose yourself in the stress and worry of the moment. If it is out of your hands and out of your control, the moment is escaping you, you can just let go. Free your mind as well… it will soon be the past and set your eyes to the future and the next task ahead of you. sabotage-love-life-550x368

So often enough I feel people overlook the soul…. We have the brain, we have our hearts…. but the soul, that is something inside us completely different, completely special. Oxford Dictionary describes it in two ways; the first way, “the spiritual or immaterial part of a human being or animal, regarded as immortal.” And the second way, “emotional or intellectual energy or intensity, especially as revealed in a work of art or an artistic performance.” Our souls are attracted to beauty like flowers are attracted to sun. So learn to quiet your mind, stand up to your mind and take control of the thoughts inside. Learn to feel emotions in your heart, feel and let go and your own timing… And learn to create that beautiful place inside you, inside your soul. That positive light that only you can truly feel! Create it inside you and then begin to expand it and grow it outwards.

Hi Mikaela: Simply put, a beautiful explanation of the soul. I had never really thought about it in that way. Your last paragraph sums it up beautifully. Souls are attracted to beauty like flowers are attracted to the sun. I love that phrase! Learning to create that beauty place inside you, that place that only you can feel inside your soul. Then starting to expand outwards. Wow. No wonder you have grown such an amazing picture of your-self.

Beauty is in the mind and in the soul. Training, some say can’t be done, but I happen to agree with you in that it can be done, but takes a very long time to do. Nothing hard is easy, and training the mind and soul is not easy for all of the reasons you mentioned.

And I love your questions; the 4-paired ones. Similar yet very different. Yes, helping your brain ask questions in a positive light can be very easy to say, but much harder to do. I can understand how all questions are similar, yet very different. Not always easy to do, but possible. And the more one practises the better. Not always possible at night in bed, but still possible. I need to try harder, to accomplish what you’ve suggested.

I really love this and hope you are able to carry on. Very deep thought but most appreciated!

    Love, Frank ❤️❤️
